The swim goes around five buoys. The finishing leg of the course goes around a small island and between two ending buoys which are clearly visible against the greenery in the background. A single lap is needed for the 1,500 metre and two-laps for the 3,000 metre swim.

FACILITES
Day visitors to Sun City must park their cars at the entrance and catch the dedicated busses to the Cabanas complex. The swim entry fee includes Sun City entrance fees for day visitors and access to the Valley of the Waves. The facilities within the Sun City complex are exceptional, with good ablution facilities, shops and restaurants that sell almost all types of food and drinks.
