PRIZES AND GIVE-AWAYS
Medals are awarded to all finishers. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the first three male and female places in each event. Cash prizes and lucky draw prizes are also available.
WATER QUALITY
The water is clean and clear with visibility at around three metres.
LAYOUT
The first stretch of the course goes directly out from the shoreline in the opposite direction to the Midmar Mile. At the first buoy the course turns 90 degrees to the left and on to the second buoy. The third and final leg leads you to the finish up the main Yacht club slipway. Munro Bay is the small bay next to the finish.
FACILITES
The event facilities are good with permanent ablution blocks. There is ample parking close to the course. There is some shade but it goes quickly, so bring umbrellas and sun protection. Meals and refreshments are on sale throughout the day.
